Mr. D. V. Ranga Rao developed Integrated Pest Management Technologies to control groundnut insect pests, and was involved in identification of multiple pest resistant varieties of groundnut crop. He developed mulches from agricultural wastes to improve the productivity of the field crops. He also utilized agricultural wastes of certain roots and oil cakes to control soil insects like termites. He has been associated with the establishing of ‘PRABHAT AGRI BIOTECH LTD.’  where he served as Managing Director, and was engaged in developing high yielding hybrids of field and vegetable crops.
